Privacy Policy — JPOS Scorer

JPOS Scorer (“the app”) is a cricket scoring and live-scoreboard app operated by the Sri Jaitaran Patti Oswal Sangh Yuva Parishad, Chennai (“JPOS”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

Information we handle

• Club member details — name, surname, and (optionally) father's name, native place, area, mobile number, and a photo. These are entered by club administrators to build teams and record who is playing.
• Match & scoring data — teams, players, ball-by-ball scores, and results.
• Device notification token — an anonymous push token, so we can send match alerts to people who install the app.
• Basic usage counts — aggregate numbers such as how many times the app was opened and how many times a match was viewed. These are counts only and are not linked to your identity.

How we use it

Only to run the club's cricket scoring: to display live scores and scorecards, maintain standings and player statistics, and send match notifications. We do not use this information for advertising or profiling.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. Match scores and standings are shown publicly within the app to anyone who installs it. Data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Google Cloud). We do not share personal details with any other third party except as required by law.

Requesting deletion of your data

To have your personal data deleted from JPOS Scorer, follow these steps:

1. Email vishaalsbs@gmail.com.
2. Include your name (and your club member UID, if you know it) so we can find your record.
3. State that you would like your data deleted.

What is deleted: your personal details — name, surname, father's name, native place, area, phone number and photo — and your device's notification token. We complete deletion within 30 days of your request. Your device notification token is also removed automatically when you uninstall the app.

What may be kept: match scores, results and statistics may be retained for the club's historical records, but will no longer be linked to your personal contact details.

Children

The app is intended for club members and cricket followers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

Access to add or edit data is restricted to authorised club administrators and scorers via secure sign-in. Everyone else can only view scores.
